During my experience in the development sector for more than two decades, I have realized that the only way to develop our beloved Pakistan is the promotion and spread of education in the country. Unfortunately, country’s literacy rate is alarmingly low. Number of out of school children is rapidly increasing. Children in the rural areas do not have access to education due to a number of reasons. Education for the girls is even a bigger issue.

Objectives

Curriculum Desk

The key task of this desk is to select the best-offered curriculum for the Ghazali schools, it also helps in any syllabus related matters. Besides it, this desk develops helping material for teachers i.e. Curriculum Charts, Monthly Scheme of Study, Annual Educational Calendar and Lesson Plans to ensure the perfect implementation of the syllabus and to boost up the progress of students.

Character Education Desk

This desk aids in the development and implementation of character building material for Ghazali schools. Character building is an important part of our system. For this purpose, this desk has developed character building material for students which is being taught in our schools. The Character Building desk has initiated the Fehm-ul-Quran project. Moreover, this desk also manages the publication of Ghazali Education Trust’s magazine “Ujala“.

Examination Desk

Since Ghazali Education Trust has a central paper setting system, the basic responsibility of Examination Desk is to develop term wise papers for Ghazali schools. The Examination Desk also develops the “Quality Assurance Test” for schools. Moreover, this desk is working on the development of Item Bank for Primary level papers.

Training Desk

Training is the most indispensable facet in the field of education. Since training of teachers in Pakistan is the most trivial thing, Ghazali has decided to train its teachers with the modernized patterns of teaching techniques. The Training Desk of R&D is equipping the teaching and managerial staff with the help of renowned and professional trainers. There are two basic types of training,

Leadership Workshops for District Managers

District Managers are the vital members of Ghazali’s field staff. They supervise the whole operation of Ghazali schools in their appointed districts. Training Desk conducts timely workshops to increase the work quality of its district managers, both at district and head office level.

Leadership Camps for Principals & Managerial Staff

R&D has arranged several leadership camps for its principals and other managerial staff. The ideology of these camps is to lift up the leadership qualities in principals and other managerial staff.

Leadership Camps for High School Students

R&D has also been conducting Leadership Camps for its high school students. These Leadership Camps help students to excel in their studies and co-curricular activities. These Camps also help them in choosing the best profession in their coming lives. We believe that we are creating leaders for the future.

Study Circles

A study circle is based on a 16 pages’ booklet that is written on an important topic which has to be discussed with the teachers of Ghazali Schools in general. These study circles are especially for those who couldn’t attend workshops for whatsoever reasons. In this domain, the Training Desk has developed and published many study circles so far.

Distance Learning Course

The Training Desk has developed a distance learning course for the teachers of Ghazali Schools. This course helps the teachers to further continue the process of learning while remaining at their homes. There are almost 200 teachers that have been benefited by this course to date.

Marketing Development

It is responsible to build strong relation with the public and other organizations. Through affective advertisement marketing department promotes the core values of the trust in the community and attracts the potential donor for the helps in the generation resources

Land Acquisition & Construction Department

LACD designs and constructs school campuses. Renovation of old school buildings and reconstruction of damaged parts of schools are also the responsibilities of LACD.

Land Acquisition & Construction Department

M&E Department monitors and evaluates the performances of the schools through the use of various monitoring tools. M&E team frequently visits different GET schools and reports their situation to the upper management.

Program Development Unit

Accounts & Finance Department

It accounts to establish an accountable and transparent financial system in order to build financial sustainability. It covers a wide range from basic book keeping to provide information to managers in making strategic descions and manage the organization’s cash flow.

Internal Audit Department

It obtains analyses and evaluates accounting documentation. Previous reports, data, flowcharts etc. in order to prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document processes.

Administration Department

Office administration is one of the key elements associated with a high level of workplace productivity and efficiency. It provides logistic support to the organization and involves in the procurement of basic inventory like the provision of furniture, fans in GET offices and schools.
